Robin Burrage

Robin is a graduate of Northeastern University, where she recently completed the school’s fourteen-year Psychology program, earning her Bachelor of Science just in time for the American Psychological Association’s assertion that 78% of her education is now obsolete. If you are currently seeking affordable counseling (only $13.50/hour, due to the statute of limitations on her credentials), please see Robin after the show. She is certainly qualified to assist you with any issues that may have troubled you somewhere during the late 80’s…ish/early 90’s.

Some of Robin’s theatrical credits include, Angie in The Wedding Singer, Nancy in Oliver, Amy in Company and Rose in The Secret Garden. Robin would like you to know that she has also graced the stage in hundreds of failed auditions. “The failed ones often go unnoticed,” says Robin. “That’s not fair. I consider them to be tiny micro-performances for which I DEMAND recognition and adulation.” she chuckles, with a stern glint that only a fool would mistake as jest.

When she is not performing, Robin delights in her day job as a web developer. In her plentiful spare time (a la failed auditions), Robin can be found boxing at Boston Boxing & Fitness(www.bostonboxing.com) in Allston, running throughout the streets of Greater Boston, and spreading joy, happiness and love to all those around her who have not previously pissed her off.

With her diverse interests, her identity issues are nothing less than expected by Robin’s peers. It’s not uncommon for her to fill a day up by first having the ever-lovin’ crap kicked out of her at the boxing gym (sorry folks – those positions are filled), then changing into a cocktail dress and heels, and crooning Broadway show tunes at local open mic nights.

Robin hopes to see you at her show on January 23 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA., where she will illustrate the chaos in her head, by revealing to you, the goings-on behind the closed doors of her psychiatrists' offices. After all, the Doctor/Client privilege is a one-way street.

Robin Burrage invites you to share in her musical journey through the tangled forest of her psyche, and learn way more about her (and possibly yourself) than you will ever want to know.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and if you ever thought you had issues, you will exit the theater feeling more mentally sound than ever before.
